Now based in Madrid, he was born in Barcelona in 1973.
Graduated in Journalism by Universitat Autonoma, Alberto have attended photography workshops given by Antonin Kratochvil, Ferdinando Scianna, David Alan Harvey, Navia and Tino Soriano, among others.
Since 2000 he has worked as a freelance specialized in portrait, social and travel features.
Alberto Paredes was awarded a first prize in Euro Press Photo Awards by Fuji.
He is the author of ArnedilloFoto, weekend workshops with Magnum photographer Cristina García Rodero, César Lucas and World Press Photo winner Samuel Aranda in Arnedillo, La Rioja, Spain.
His pictures have been published in magazines and newspapers such as STERN, TIME, L’Equipe, The Observer, Lonely Planet, La Repubblica, El País Semanal, The New York Times, Courrier International, El Viajero de El País, Rutas del Mundo, Ronda Iberia, Interviú, Viajar, Man, Frommer, Paisajes, Paradores or Viva-Clarín.
