António started photojournalism in 1996 after studying law.
Lived in the The Netherlands and, presently, in Portugal. In both countries published in the main magazines and newspapers.
In 2012 won the Grand Prize Estação de Imagem for documentary photography. Also in 2012 he was top finalist of The Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation for Documentary Photography & Film grant. Recently we was selected as Hasselblad Master 2014 for Editorial.
In addition to documentary works he enjoys doing portraits and architecture.
Photographer António Pedrosa published on the Swiss edition of “FIFA Weekly” magazine, in an article, of 8 pages plus cover, about the Beach Soccer World Cup 2015,
“The Pose and the prey”, the photo essay of Antonio Pedrosa won the PDN Photo Annual 2015 in “sports” category, also with the same photo essay he won a Second place “sports singles” POY LATAM and Third place in “sports series” in POY LATAM.
Photographer António Pedrosa joined The 2014 Hasselblad Masters Awards winners in the launch of a hardback book of their collective talent: Hasselblad Masters Vol 4. EVOLVE.
4SEE’s Andoni Lubaki has published 4 photos of the conflict in Syria in Newsweek’s iPad and Japanese edition.
