Eva Parey was born in 1971 in Barcelona. After she studied Photojournalism and Social Essay in the IEFC, she started to work as a documentary photographer replacing this activity slowly her profession in IT Systems until she went full time freelancing in photography. Since then, she has published in several spanish newspapers and magazines as El Periodico de Cataluña, Yo Dona, Zazpika, Interviu among others, writing in many cases the full text of the stories.
She is imparting different workshops in some specialized schools. Since 2008 she is working with gypsies between Spain, Romania, Bulgaria and France. In 2012 she was awarded with the Revela Prize contributing with the NGO FSG in an educational project for roma children in Romania. She is interested in everything photographic, but her main concern is the complexity of human beings living in modern and traditional societies.
On November 9th, Catalan people participated in the polling process for the independence of Catalonia.
