biography
Born in 1966 he lives in Leiria, a city in the center of the portuguese coast. Photojournalist since 1988 at the daily local newspaper “Diário de Leiria”.
Paulo also works with national daily newspaper “Jornal de Noticias”, daily sports “Record” and he’s a stringer with “Lusa”, the portuguese news agency. Apart from spot news he dedicates his time to feature stories.
Paulo has three published books: two of them about Leiria’s football team and one about the ancient way of producing a liquor from ginger fruit . “O Elogio da Ginga” was made together with promising writer Paulo Moreiras and was distinguished by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2006, with “Best Single Subject Cookbook” and “Best Cookbook Photography” in Portugal.
Currently he attends to Photography degree at Escola Superior Tecnologia de Tomar / Instituto Politécnico de Tomar.
